Bought this A/V amp after my SC-LX-71 went wrong. Got a good deal on the SC-LX-72 from Canterbury HiFi (traded in my broken amp and LX-72 was on very special offer). Would have preferred to go for the LX-73 but funds were short at the time, and I didn't want the free bluray player offer (I already have a BDP-LX71 that I'm very happy with). LX-71 sounds 'warmer' than LX-70, and was easy to set up (though the new LX-73's are even easier). Very pleased with my purchase and hope that the LX-72 lasts longer than my LX-71. This is my 4th Pioneer A/V amp (I am very brand loyal). Works excelently with my Pioneer PDP-5090 plasma screen - overalll very impressed. Advantage of LX-72 over the LX-71 is that there is second HDMI socket out (only previously available on LX-81), and that you get to see cover art when playing your iPod through the system.

I PREFER THE SOUND FROM THE PIONEER AND EASE OF USE COMPARED TO THE DENON 4308 WHICH I SOLD TO FUND THE PIONEER
